The Challenge

A demand letter arrives, the site changes while everyone reacts, and nobody can later establish what the site actually did on the date of the alleged visit.

Our Solution

Preserve the evidence first, produce a technical record for counsel, then remediate in the order a filing would cite.

About Our ADA Lawsuit Risk Response Services

An ADA demand letter is a legal event, not a design problem, and the first days matter. AppWT documents what your site actually did on the date in question, produces the technical record your counsel needs, and prioritizes remediation by what a filing would cite first. This is separate from our accessibility remediation service: that one audits and fixes to the WCAG success criteria as ongoing practice, while this one is about exposure, evidence and sequence once a claim exists or is likely. We do not give legal advice and we do not replace counsel. We give your attorney a factual record they can rely on, and we fix the specific items a complaint is most likely to name.

What's Included

Evidence preserved before anything on the site is changed
Rendered output, computed styles and accessibility tree captured and dated
Findings sequenced by what a complaint cites first, not by what is easiest
Keyboard traps and unreachable controls handled ahead of contrast
Every item recorded against the success criterion it fails
Before state, change and re-test kept as a chronology
Screen reader verification with NVDA and VoiceOver on the named pages
A written record formatted to hand to your attorney

Technical Details

The first action is preservation, not repair. Changing the site before the state is recorded destroys the only evidence of what a visitor encountered, so the pages named are captured with rendered output, computed styles and the accessibility tree, dated and hashed. Remediation is then sequenced by what a complaint actually cites rather than by what is easiest: keyboard traps and unreachable interactive controls first, because a control a keyboard user cannot reach blocks the transaction entirely; then form labeling and error identification, which block completion; then contrast and alternative text, which impair but do not block. Each item is recorded against the specific success criterion it fails, with the before state, the change, and the re-test, so the record is a chronology rather than an assertion. Screen reader verification uses NVDA and VoiceOver on the actual pages named, since an automated score is not evidence that a person can complete the task. Nothing here is legal advice, and the output is written to be handed to counsel rather than to be relied on in place of them.

Under Promise, Over Deliver

Better to lose a sale from honesty than make a sale from dishonesty. Set realistic expectations, then exceed them. This single principle has built more successful businesses than any marketing tactic.

ADA Lawsuit Risk Response Across Metro Detroit & Beyond

Our headquarters sits at Five Mile and Farmington in Livonia. We have served Michigan businesses since 1997 — 29+ years from one home base, now serving clients nationwide across the United States and in five more countries.

Livonia Home Base

When a demand letter lands the clock is already running, so the first call from our Livonia office at Five Mile and Farmington is about preserving what the site did, not about redesigning it.

Wayne County Corridor

Public-facing businesses in Westland, Garden City, Plymouth, Canton, Northville, Redford, Dearborn and Detroit see the widest range of visitors, which is also the widest range of ways a barrier can be encountered and documented.

Oakland County

Practices and retailers in Farmington Hills, Novi, Southfield, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Royal Oak and Troy usually have online booking or intake, and those transactional paths are where a blocked user has the strongest claim.

Beyond Metro Detroit

Organizations in Flint, Ann Arbor, Lansing and Grand Rapids, and across the country, receive the same chronology: state preserved and dated, findings named against the criterion they fail, and every fix re-tested.
